New Special on GMC Traces New York’s Rich Gospel/Christian Music History

Atlanta, GaHometown Gospel: New York City, a new Gospel Music Channel (GMC) original special, offers an in-depth look at the singers, songwriters, landmarks and legends that have shaped New York's Gospel/Christian music legacy and continue to do so vibrantly today. It is the newest installment of GMC’s original series Hometown Gospel and will premiere nationwide on Gospel Music Channel on Sunday, March 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Encores: 10:00 p.m./12 Midnight; March 19 (9:00 p.m./12 mid); March 22 (2:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. 12 mid). Automotive luxury leader Lincoln is the presenting sponsor of the Hometown Gospel series.

Hometown Gospel: New York City is hosted by top recording artist, Brooklyn’s own Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson. Sights and artists featured in the show cut across all styles of Gospel/Christian music.
