Divorcing ministers’ church is listed for $30 million

Tampa’s Without Walls International Church has spent its fair share of time in the spotlight beginning with the news of Senator Grassley’s investigation into their finances to the announcement of the impending divorce of its leaders, Randy and Paula White. The church, once again, takes center stage.

Without Walls is up for sale with a hefty asking price of $30 million. The sale of the 13.3-acre campus, near International Plaza and Raymond James Stadium, in Tampa’s growing West Shore business district has been left in the hands of CNL Specialty Real Estate Services and Cushman & Wakefield of Florida.

Along with the 4,500-seat sanctuary, the property includes a 94,000-square-foot office building, a television studio and a health club.

In an official statement issued by the church and written by their publicists, Tucker/Hall Inc., Without Walls states, “The church’s two properties are situated in areas of significant development and have appreciated significantly…To keep the church’s expansion options open, the executive leadership of Without Walls International Church decided that the time was right to list both properties.”

Previous reports have stated that Randy White is dividing his ministry duties between California and Florida while his estranged wife, Paula White is dividing her time between her New York City home and a ministry partner in San Antonio, TX.
The Lakeland campuses that are being listed were purchased in 2005 for $15 million and according to their statement; downsizing could be the real reason why the properties are being sold. “The church could consider using the proceeds on a more focused, functional church facility to meet the needs of its congregation," the statement said. "It could decide to use any excess proceeds to continue and expand its many current community outreach programs.”
The church has not stated their intentions or plans should the sale take place. It is not known whether Without Walls will relocate its facilities or disband entirely. The church statement indicated that the decision to list the properties did not require board approval, but a contract to sell would require the board, which consists of the Whites, the ministry’s chief financial officer and Pastor Zachary Tims.
