Integrity Music Latin Wins First Billboard Latin Music Award
Four Artists Receive Dove Award Nominations
Mobile, Alabama - Integrity Music Latin recently celebrated the win of their first Billboard Latin Music Award and also were honored to have four artists among the five nominees for Spanish Language Album for the 39th Annual Dove Awards.
The Billboard Latin Music Award for Christian/Gospel Album of the Year was presented to Integrity artist Danilo Montero for his CD Tu Amor (“Your Love”). The Awards ceremony, which was held at the Hard Rock Casino ballroom in Hollywood, Florida, recognizes outstanding artists and albums in a variety of categories.

Montero, who resides in Texas, is also a speaker and an associate pastor for the Spanish-speaking congregation at Houston’s Lakewood Church. He is currently working on a new album due out in early 2009.
In addition to Montero’s win, Integrity’s best-selling collection Gotta Have Musica Cristiana - Volume 2 and artist Julissa (Rivera) both received nominations in the Christian/Gospel category. The Musica Cristiana album features a collection of songs from top Latin Christian artists including Montero, Julissa, Ingrid Rosario, Vertical, Marcos Witt and others.
Julissa received her Billboard nomination for the album Inolvidable (“Unforgettable”), a collection of historic songs of the Hispanic Church. A former winner of Mexico’s Premios Arpa Awards, Julissa has been signed with Integrity for two years. She is the host of the Gospel Music Channel’s “Espiritu Latino” program and recently served as a worship leader for the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., and for the Luis Palau festival in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Integrity Music Latin also distributes the Christian album Para Ti (“For You”) for Juan Luis Guerra who won three Billboard Latin awards this year for his mainstream album Llave de mi Corazoan (“Key of My Heart”).
