Integrity Music Latin Wins First Billboard Latin Music Award

“Juan was nominated in seven categories and each time he received an award, he first gave thanks to Jesus for blessing him with the honor,” said Mike Herron, Vice President of Integrity Music Latin.

 In addition to the Billboard nods, four Integrity Music Latin artists were among the five nominees honored for Spanish Language Album of the Year at the 39th Annual Dove Awards.  “It was an honor for our artists and our Latin American team to be recognized for their talent, hard work and faithful service to the Lord,” said Herron.

Four of the five Dove Award nominees for Spanish Language Album were Integrity Music Latin artists. Shown l-r are: Nominee Danilo Montero, Nominee Vertical (Kalin, Felipe, Meme), Integrity VP Mike Herron and nominee Jacobo Ramos.

The Dove Award nominees were: Danilo Montero for Tu Amor, Julissa for El Ritmo de La Vida (“The Rhythm of Life”), Jacobo Ramos for Bueno (“Good”) and Vertical for Invencible (“Invincible”). All four artists were able to attend the Dove Awards ceremony and, Julissa was given the honor of presenting the Dove Award for “Male Vocalist of the Year” to artist Toby Mac.

Jacobo Ramos, a native of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, is one of the most respected worship leaders in the Caribbean as well as a popular speaker on the subjects of worship and youth ministry. The pop/rock  worship group Vertical is composed of lead singer Alejandro Quiroa, guitarist Carlos Castellanos and bassist Felipe Granados of Guatemala and drummer Carlos Cordon of Miami, Florida. The group is known throughout Latin America for their dynamic worship concerts featuring original Spanish songs as well as popular translated English worship songs.
