Integrity Music artist Stephen Hurd recorded a live CD this past Friday night and it promises to be his best work yet. Performing before an invitation-only audience of psalmists, worship leaders and music ministers; Hurd and his hand-picked backing singers delivered an intimate set of new high-energy worship anthems, old school hymns and plaintive paeans of praise. Among the luminaries in attendance at First Baptist Church of Glenarden (where Hurd is the minister of music and praise and worship leader) were pastor John Jenkins and various leading praise and worship leaders from around the country. Gospel stars Maurette Brown Clark, Bryan Wilson and fellow Integrity artist Jonathan Nelson also came out to show their support. Justin Savage, who co-wrote Hurd's last big hit "Great Praise," was in place as music director, song composer and co-producer. Integrity Music executives Stephen Brewster (marketing) and Chris Springer (A&R) were also on hand for this exciting evening of praise and worship music. Hurd says that the CD (which was also recorded as a DVD) is scheduled for release on October 14, 2008. |
