Please keep Pastor Timothy Wright of the Grace Tabernacle Christian Center in New York City and his family in your prayers! Pastor Wright has been involved in a devastating car accident in central Pennsylvania that killed his wife as well as the wrong way driver that hit their vehicle. Preliminary reports state that the accident occurred on Friday evening as Pastor Wright was driving back from the AIM Convention in Detroit MI.
Traveling with him were First Lady Betty Wright and their Grandson. According to state police, First Lady Betty Wright, 58, was killed instantly on Interstate 80 in Greene Township. Pastor Timothy Wright is currently on life support. Pastor’s condition is said to be stable but critical. His leg is broken in three places and doctors are preparing to perform surgery on his leg. Their 14 year old grandson, Daniel "DJ" Wright Jr. was in the car with them and he remains in a slight coma but his condition is said to be improving. Pastor Wright’s son David has suffered a mild heart attack in response to all the news. Please keep lifting the Wright Family up in your prayers.
UPDATE - July 6
Unfortunately DJ Pastor Wright's grandson has died.
Pastor Wright's surgery went well yesterday and he is recovering well.
UPDATE - July 8
Timothy Wright’s right ankle is broken, left leg was broken in three places, one lung collapsed and broken ribs and two small fractures in his neck that will heal on their own. He’s steadily getting better each day. He is unaware that his wife has died, however he was informed that his grandson has passed away.
Update – July 10 Pastor Timothy Wright is still in stable critical condition. There has been so much going on and the family is overwhelmed.
New Update - July 16 Pastor Timothy Wright is getting stronger every day, he’s still in critical but stable condition.
New Update - July 17 The family would like to thank you for your expressions of prayer and concern. Rev. Timothy Wright had a successful surgery and is responding well to treatment and therapies. There is still a long road yet to be traveled. We all must continue to pray. In addition, please keep Danny, his wife and sons in prayer for the loss of their son and brother.
Please continue to pray for him and the family.
Here are some suggestions for prayer:
That Timothy Wright has a speedy healthy miraculous recovery
That there aren’t any permanent irreparable damage to his body
That when Pastor Timothy Wright finds out about his wife, it doesn’t set him back physically
That the children are strengthened during this difficult time
That his congregation is strengthened during this time
That the family’s nor church’s finances are exhausted during this time.
That the un-saved see Christ through this situation
That they can move from this perpetual state of mourning and be able to start to heal
That God gets all of the Glory and not man
That the children remain safe traveling back and forth from NY to PA
