Hundreds Sign Up for Allstate Gospel Superfest Opening Act Contest! Show Finale All Set For Atlanta

Chicago , IL - Hundreds of gospel music hopefuls and veteran singers, comedians and rappers have registered for The Allstate Gospel Superfest Opening Act Contest. The producers of The Superfest are in preparation for their 10th international TV recording session to be held in Atlanta on November 1st at The Atlanta Civic Center. The Allstate Gospel Superfest will first travel to six US cities in search of this year's "Opening Act" with an American Idol" style audition process. "The twist is, the contestants are in the same room watching each other audition.. This is a bit different than the original because, we have an opportunity to really capture some great moments with this unique approach to TV auditions. We are hoping that everyone supports their neighbor and we will end up with a great looking "Amen Corner," States Dr. Bobby Cartwright, the show's founder and Executive Producer. Before landing in Atlanta this November 1st, The Allstate Gospel Superfest will launch its contest/tour at the historic Apollo Theater in New York City . Then the show will travel to Washington , DC , St. Louis , MO , Dallas , TX , Memphis , TN and Birmingham , AL in search for this year's grand prizewinner. This milestone event will feature some of America's top artists in the field of gospel music including, John P. Kee (honoree), Mary Mary, Walter Hawkins, Byron Cage, Deleon, Jonathan Nelson, The Williams Brothers, Beverly Crawford, Alvin Slaughter, Steven Hurd, Coko, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. with the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship Choir, Ashmont Hill, Kierra Ki Ki Sheard and a host of others.

The Super Pass is Back! The producers are offering a great deal to see the production close up with this year's "Superpass." these special ticket holders will sit on the front three rows during the show and also be allowed a special sneak peek at the dress rehearsals on Friday October 31 2008.
