Ladies and Gentleman, it is with great pleasure, that we present to you, the 44th president of the United States, PRESIDENT BARACK H. OBAMA!!!

There is no need to pinch yourself. This is not a dream. You have just witnessed HISTORY! Some are calling this day, January 20th, 2009, the unofficial African American Holiday. What an amazing day! And how appropriate, that this will come on the day after Martin Luther King's birthday.

People from far and wide, all nationalities, creeds, shapes, sizes, young and old packed the streets of our Nations Capital. Planes, trains, and automobiles was certainly the topic of discussion as people flooded the city, even in the early hours of the morning.. Over 40,000 law enforcement personnel were on the streets to ensure the safety of our president and the millions of people who were in attendance to be a part of this day in history. The sky was sunny as some people waited over 3 to 8 hours to get on the train from Virginia to D.C.. Many said that it was worth braving the cold, traffic, long lines, and congestion, to experience this historical day.

This is truly a spectacular event, being viewed on television, cellular phones and internet sites by people from all over the world. People are putting politics aside, and celebrating together. No matter what their political views are, people are celebrating, with the expectancy of renewal and change. The reaction of many people that we spoke to, is that people really do want to see President Barack Obama be successful while in office, even if they didn't vote for him. Complete strangers were joining in conversation and hugging each other. This is not something that you see everyday. It seems that the American people, for just one day, wanted to be united. Many were overcome with emotion and tears of joy.

Many of our grandparents and parents would've never thought that they would see the day that an African American president and family, would occupy the White House.

President Obama worshipped at St. Johns Church on 8th and 16th, prior to the Inauguration this morning, where Bishop T.D. Jakes is said to have preached during the private service.

Stars like Dustin Hoffman, Magic Johnson, Ted Kennedy, Diddy and his crew, Jay Z, Beyonce, Samuel Jackson, Don King, Oprah Winfrey, Muhammad Ali, Members of the Tuskegee Airmen, World War II fighter pilots, Martin Luther King, III, Bernice King, Aretha Franklin, and many more were in attendance. Those in attendance were able to watch the entire Inaugural service on 22 jumbo screens spread throughout the area.

First Lady Michelle Obama gave Laura Bush a journal and pen as a gift. The Bush family will be moving to Texas. It is said that no furniture has actually been moved into the White House as of yet. The Obama family plan to keep their home in Illinois. Reports state 92 members of the White House staff will assist in the move in, which will take approximately 6 hours.

Just the day before, Obama rolled up his sleeves to help paint for our troops, how appropriate on Martin Luther King's birthday.

Pastor Rick Warren gave the prayer this morning, " We know today that Dr. King and a great cloud of witnesses are shouting in heaven."

President Barack H. Obama captivated the audience with his acceptance speech, while giving the moment and element that America is currently in:

"The challenges that we face are real...on this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord."

"The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit. The God-given promise, that all are equal, all are free."

"Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and re-begin the work of making America."

Let us continue to keep this beautiful family in our prayers. When President Obama wakes up tomorrow, he will have the weight of the world-challenges and possibilities on his shoulders, dealing with the economic stimulus, and stepping into making a change for America.

Fun Fact: President Barack H. Obama is left-handed.
