Atlanta, GA – Urban Contemporary Gospel artists, DAMITA and CHRISTOPHER LEWIS, will be featured on “The Gospel of Music With Jeff Majors” this Sunday, February 8th on TV-One 9:00 AM EST.DAMITA was a featured lead vocalist on the 2009 Stellar-Award nominated DEITRICK HADDON presents VOICES OF UNITY album, Together In Worship. The album received a Grammy nomination this year in the “Best Traditional Gospel Album” category. Her latest project, No Looking Back, is garnering positive reviews from both fans and critics alike. The lead video “No Looking Back” was the most played of the year on the Gospel Music Channel for 2008 and was ranked number one for more weeks than any other artist. ABOUT DAMITA: “I went a little more youthful on this release because I think that our young people really need this right now. We really need to get their attention. They are faced with so much temptation and if we don’t do something that makes them feel special, that moves and motives them, somebody else will.” says Haddon. No Looking Back is available in stores and online. Catch the video for her hit single, “No Looking Back” on BET, Gospel Music Channel, The Word Network, YouTube and more. Disc one of Crisis: Change Is Required is a strong set of contemporary & urban gospel numbers, with influences ranging from R&B to contemporary rock and pop. The second disc, Honest Heart, features acoustic worship originals and favorites. Lewis recorded so much music, he had to share it with his fans in 2 separate releases – thus unleashing a special project available via download. “Crisis: Comin’ Out Party” has a bit more edge to it but continues his groundbreaking, in your face, heartfelt messages. "Jesus said that in this life we will have trials. In this life we will have tribulation. In His eyesight it's normal for crisis to occur. We just have to know how to respond to it, says Lewis.'" Christopher Lewis is a man of the people, with a deep seared passion and heart after God. Christopher Lewis is no stranger to the industry, with “Eyes Toward The Sky” and the “Spirit of a Born Worshipper“. – Gospelmusicbites.com “Lyrical realities resound over R&B, Neo-Soul, Hip Hop & Contemporary gospel beats, mixed to bring a brand new sound of breakthrough.” – U-Zone Magazine “I love the jam, 'Joy', a smooth radio single that has that urban feel with an old school flavor to it. Lewis sings and explains how he went through but the joy of the Lord is his strength. Joy gonna come in the morning ya'll!” – Bobby Parker (Radio & TV Personality) “This brother is OFF THE CHAIN! His ministry encompasses a myriad of music styles designed to touch lives at their current juncture.” – The Belle Report ABOUT CHRISTOPHER LEWIS: |
