Weddings: Overated and Expensive

I have been to a few weddings in my short lifetime and the common denominator between them all is that they are often highly overrated and expensive. Of course, I am sensitive to the emotional assets invested in the once (perhap twice or thrice) in a lifetime event but we have to be careful on ensuring that we don't hang our broom so high that we can't reach it to jump over it.
