Fans of Bishop Walter Hawkins Scoop up Funeral/Musical Tribute Tickets in 1½ Hours
Hawkins Family Announces Donation Destination
Oakland, CA - Hundreds of fans of the late gospel music legend, Bishop Walter Hawkins (who passed away this past Sunday), camped out Thursday night at Oakland’s Paramount Theater to be first in line when the free tickets for his funeral and the all-star concert celebration were made available on Friday at noon. Then, 1 ½ hours later, all of the available tickets were gone.
The Hawkins family appreciates the public’s overwhelming expressions of love and condolense. However, instead of flowers, the family is asking that interested parties celebrate Bishop Hawkins life and memory by donating funds to The Walter Hawkins Memorial Foundation at: www.
