Billy Graham Rocks The River

Evangelist Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association wrapped up their inaugural four-city "Rock the River" tour Sunday with their final stop in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Since embarking on the tour up the Mississippi river, the BGEA has reached out to well over 113,000 youth and young adults and witnessed around 1,000 decisions for Christ through its new youth outreach, which may seem like a departure from the organization's historic crusades but, as Graham puts it, "is just a continuation of the youth-focused ministry that my father and his team started more than 60 years ago with Youth For Christ."

Christian Girl Threatened With Death

Four years ago, Fathima Rifqa Bary snuck into a local church and had an "incredible encounter with Jesus" that led the formerly Muslim teen to convert to Christianity.

Now, the 17-year-old is involved in a legal battle with her parents, who are trying to regain custody of her after she ran away fearing that her family would kill her for leaving Islam.

"They have to kill me because I'm a Christian," she told Orlando, Fla.-based WFTV, referring to the practice of killing a family member who fellow members believe has brought dishonor upon the family, clan, or community. Story continues below.

PJ Morton: Bishops' Secular Prodigy

PJ Morton won't be the first preacher's kid to sing secular music, and he isn't likely to be the last! Unlike those before him who were ostracized and condemned by traditional churchgoers and religious radicals for singing non-sacred sounds, Morton has decided to educate churchgoers rather than rebelling against them. The 28-year-old singer, who is the son of renowned pastors Bishop Paul S. Morton (Changing a Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta) and Dr. Debra B. Morton (Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church in New Orleans), has written a new book called 'Why Can't I Sing About Love?' that dispels the myth that all Christian singers must...

Shacking Up In Style

A new national study suggests that the trend toward cohabiting continues its forward march for young adults, many of whom still expect to marry someday. More than three-quarters of 20- to 24-year-olds in the U.S. said they believe that "love, fidelity, and making a lifelong commitment are very important to a successful relationship." Women, predictably, aspire to marriage at significantly higher rates than men. Perhaps less predictably, married young adults tend to have negative views of living together with no intent to marry, even though (or perhaps because) more than half of them have cohabited themselves.

Pop Songs Boost Bible Reading

Strange but true. With Bible illiteracy plaguing Christians in areas even where Scriptures are in abundance, one bishop is urging churches to use hit songs to help their congregants connect with the teachings contained in the Bible.
