Jason Morant to Cross the Country in Support of 'Abandon'
Vertical Music debut artist Jason Morant will spend the rest of summer and fall on the road in support of his recently released Vertical CD, Abandon.
Morant will cross the country between now and November, having already performed at summer festivals including Creation East, Creation West and Cornerstone. In the next few months, his schedule includes a Teen Mania event, solo dates and the Bebo Norman Fall Tour, featuring Morant and Bethany Dillon.
“It’s gratifying to be able to get out on the road to share the new music in live settings,” said Morant. “One of the joys about performing songs live is seeing them become a collective expression for others. As I’m on the road this summer and fall, it’s my heart’s desire that my music might encourage and challenge fellow believers to let their lives reflect the love of God and a life of worship to Him.”

While Abandon is Morant’s major label debut, he has recorded independent worship records. Morant was the youth worship leader at his home church in Louisiana during the late 90s. In 1998, Morant recorded a live album, Make Me New, for his church worship band, named “Adam’s Lament.” Morant’s music is influenced by U2, Keith Green, Rita Springer and David Ruis. Morant wrote or co-wrote nine of Abandon’s 12 tracks, and plays acoustic guitar, piano and keyboards on the project.
