Kevin Max Catches Up with the Newsboys

  2005-08-03

Kevin Max, one-third of Grammy and Dove Award-winning group dcTalk, took time to catch up with his old friends, the Newsboys, during this month's International Christian Retail Show 2005 held in Denver, Colo. He toured with the band in the early 90's as a member of dcTalk, and they have shared numerous venues throughout their careers. Max was at the convention to talk about his upcoming solo project The Imposter- an innovative and provocative pop/rock/fusion musical experience- which releases Oct. 11, 2005 on Northern Records.

Max's collaborations with dcTalk have resulted in the sale of over 8 million records worldwide, four Grammy Award wins, 16 Dove Awards, and a Top 40 mainstream pop radio hit. His other works include his critically acclaimed solo debut, Stereotype Be; poetry album Between the Fence and the Universe; and the books Unfinished Work (Thomas Nelson) and At the Foot of Heaven: Poetry (Star Publishing Group). He has recently performed in Europe, South America and New Zealand, as well as the U.S. with mainstream artists including the Psychedelic Furs, The Young Dubliners, The Church and Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes.

The Imposter will be available on Northern Records. Additional information about Kevin Max is available by visiting his website at www.kevinmax.com or the Northern Records website at www.NorthernRecords.com.
