Exciting New Releases Planned

Nashville, TN –Gospel music’s emergent independent record label, Alliant Music Group, recently named Herb O’Neal as their new Chief Executive Officer

Herb O’Neal, a veteran musician and songwriter, will take over the day-to-day operations as CEO of Alliant Music Group while founder, Paul Wright III, remains involved attaining the new title of Chairman of Alliant Music Group. This shift allows Wright to focus heavily on the creative and A&R process for all Alliant’s upcoming new releases.

“I wanted to spend more time on the recording process for all our artists and really raise the level of the quality of music we are putting out,” said Wright.

Alliant Music Group will continue its existing distribution relationship with Central South Inc. on several releases including their popular Quiet Times and In His Presence series’ and the upcoming debut May 15th of Christian rapper John Cook, a joint effort with CCC Music Group.

“My goal for Alliant is to reach-out to target areas in our community and foster releases that are specifically geared to reaching the people,” O’Neal said. “We will definitely continue to seek out untapped talent and continue to grow our reach in the Gospel marketplace.”

As part of O’Neal’s plan and on-going effort to further develop Alliant Music Group he has secured several non-traditional partnerships in target areas including an exclusive deal with the Historic Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Choir Competition.

Alliant Music Group was formed in 2000 by Wright and has since become a major force in the Christian music industry with multiple Dove and Stellar Awards from early releases “Quiet Times Vol. 1-4”, “With This Ring Vol. 1&2” and “Kidz Shout.” Alliant Music Group is now home to industry legends such as Daryl Coley, Blind Boys of Alabama, John Cook and contemporary artists The Gospel Gangstaz; Excelsior; The Colorado Mass Choir and the hilarious comedy of Trina V. Jeffrie aka Sister Cantaloupe. Alliant Music Group has earned its position as one of the top-selling independent record labels in Gospel music and is recently earned five 2007 Dove Nominations.
