Are You A Push-Over?

Are you gullible? Is it easy for the enemy to deceive you? Do you fall over, throw up your hands, and throw in the towel at the slightest provocation or trial. If the basic opposition on this side of the great tribulation wearies you, how will you contend with real adversity?

The Scriptures constantly remind us that we’re more than over-comers. The Word says that greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, yet we’re ever complaining about how the devil is fighting us & how we’re “going through.” At the risk of being condemnatory, I would suggest that we’re guilty of “being at ease in Zion” and have turned into a generation of “jelly-backed” Christians.

At the first sign of opposition, we’re crying out for deliverance. As soon as we come under attack and begin to experience trials & tribulations, we plead for God to take us out of the situation or cause it to pass by us. It is they very trials, in which we find ourselves, which God is trying to use to develop our strength, stamina, and character. I Peter 4: 12 encourages us to, “think it not strange concerning the fiery trials which are to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.” Romans 5: 3 informs us that, “…we glory in tribulation also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience. And patience experience, and experience hope; and hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

God’s intends for us to go through the tribulations. He’s formed in us in the midst of them. He uses them to develop His character in us. So stand up to the attack, with the complete knowledge that it has only happened by God’s permission. He is not trying to tear you down, but conversely, He is trying to build you up. Begin to confess what the Word of God says about you and about the situation. Start using your God-like faith to declare a thing and speak His judgments into the atmosphere. It will change you and how you perceive opposition. It will cause you to battle in the spirit realm; using the Word of God as the most effective weapon against the kingdom of darkness.
